CAUSE, SYMPTOMS, HOMEO-MANAGEMENT AND PREVENTION
What is Crohn’s Disease?
It is a form of inflammatory bowel disease affecting any part of the digestive tract diffusely with intervention of normal tissue in between affecting the whole thickness of the wall of the tract.[differentiating point with ulcerative colitis which affects only the inner-most wall of tract without any diffused cluster with normal tissue in between the tract]
What are the causes of Crohn’s Disease ?
No definitive cause yet ascertained; research says it may be the result of the interaction of the genes of the patient, his immune system and the flora (bacteria, virus, fungi, other microbes) of the intestines, that is, it is an altered immune reaction of the body. So, the disease is idiopathic in nature; however, it is noted to run families but no clear pattern of inheritance is observed.
What are the signs and symptoms of the Crohn’s Disease?
Bleeding per rectum
Abdominal pain& cramp
Sudden urge for bowel clearance
Sense of incomplete evacuation

Since the disease is idiopathic (without any definite cause) in nature but assumed to be related to heredity and altered immune reactions, persons with such a heredity should be more careful about the following:
i)Keep your body-immunity intact; please study seriously the content of sub-menu ‘Body Immunity’ under menu ‘Patients’ corner’
