What is Vitiligo/White Patches/Leucoderma?
Vitiligo is a skin problem where sporadic white patches appear in the skin surface, generally bilaterally and symmetrically; it can affect persons of any sex and any age. It is indeed an embarrassing disease. The disease is also known as Whites Patches or Leucoderma.
Is Vitiligo infectious / contagious?

What are the causes of Vitiligo?
1)Precise cause is still unknown;
2)Many considers this an Autoimmune disease;
3)Hereditary factor plays a part;
4)Stress factor seems a point also;
5)Skin injury, severe burns sometimes precede onset;
6)Severe infective disease may be a factor;
WHAT ARE MOST EFFECTIVE HOMEO-MEDICINES FOR VITILIGO?
1)Arsenicum Sulph Flavum:
Many physician consider it to be a specific for vitiligo and use it in low potency such as 3X, 6 etc.
2)Hydrocotyle Mother Tincture:
For external use over affected area with cotton 3 -4 times daily.
When all other medicines prove in vain and the patient has a syphilitic miasmatic background or has contacted the disease personally, it high potency 1M or 10M may prove very effective.
When all other medicines prove in vain and the patient has a tubercular family background or has contacted TB personally a few years back and is treated with modern medicines, this is very effective.
This is very useful, if the affected area is partially numb.
What are the signs and symptoms of vitiligo?
1)Common type of vitiligo appears bilaterally and more or less symmetrically;
2)It generally starts as a light area on the skin with any shape; gradually, the light area turns into a white patch;
2)Generally there is no pain, itching, tenderness, swelling associated with vitiligo;
3)Occasionally there appears a red edge at the periphery of the affected area with slight itchiness;
